Tokyo terminal
Originally, "Shinkansen" means "a new trunk line" in Japanese.
However, it is used as a proper noun now.

The high-speed new railway line which became independent of an ordinary railway was built. And it is operated at a maximum of 300km/h.

Almost all the Shinkansen train is reserved seats and it is required to purchase a ticket in advance.
